Pictures from Anime Mid-Atlantic 3

Dedicated to the Memory of Roy Bruce

     Before getting to the photos and videos and such, I want to say a few words about Roy Bruce. Roy, along with his wife Cathy, were members of the Anime Mid-Atlantic staff working as the Guest Relations and Hospitality Directors. Roy died last Wednesday. He had been dealing with an illness for at least as long as when I first met him, but he always kept a warm smile on his face. The Bruces were also good friends with a lot of the area locals in the anime community. In hearing what a number of them and other staff members have said, I was surprised to learn about some of the things he had done in his life that I was completely unaware of.

     I've only talked with Roy & Cathy a couple of times, but he seemed like a nice guy from what I saw of him. As I saw them so rarely (a couple staff meetings and the AMA conventions themselves), I guess it's to be somewhat expected that I'd only know him to a degree. But I still regret not getting to know Roy better while he was alive. :-(

     I usually take more footage at a convention than this, but as I was a staff member of AMA, I didn't have as much free time for photo taking.
